Hi Daidri! Tom and I are head down to California this summer for a road trip between LA and San Francisco, spending probably 3-4 nights in SF. Any ideas of what we should do or where we should stay? Alcatraz certainly looks interesting! Any ideas would be very much appreciated!

      Hi Heidi!

That’s going to be an exciting trip with a lot to see. Alcatraz was very interesting and the views are spectacular, so I definitely recommend that. My most favorite thing to do in San Fran is to rent bikes and ride over the Golden Gate Bridge and down into the island of Sausalito. Eat lunch, walk around then ride the ferry back to the city. I wrote a post about that if you’d like to check it out, it was a blast. The two other things I would say not to miss are riding the cable car to the famous Lombard Street and having Irish Coffee at Buena Vista.

I will email you with hotel ideas, some great restaurants and a couple things you won’t want to miss if driving up HWY 1. I’ll get that over to you soon. Depending on when you come we’d love to meet you for dinner! 🙂

      Too fun!
